A shooting in Perry County has led to the arrest of one man on attempted murder charges and more.
Sixty-eight-year-old Ernie Lee Brock was arrested at his home after a Perry County Sherrif’s Deputy helped a victim with a gunshot wound.
The Hazard Herald reports the16-gauge shotgun believed to have been used in the shooting was found at Brock’s home.
Brock told the trooper that the victim had begun to “mouth off to him” from his porch at which time Brock raised his firearm and shot at the victim who was unarmed at the time.
The pellets from the shotgun shell hit the front door of the victim’s residence where three people were inside.
