Emitt R. Kidd, of Prestonsburg, was arrested by a state trooper for allegedly stealing a car from a church parking lot in Johnson County.
Kidd originally told the trooper that he did not steal the car and had just gotten a ride.
After Kidd was detained, he admitted he stole the vehicle, which he found running in the parking lot at the Rockhouse Church in Paintsville, because he was cold.
