The Mayor of Elkhorn City said he would resign his position last month, but now says he is staying.
Mayor Mike Taylor told the News-Express in February that he was going to resign from his position with questions about possible misappropriation of funds and lack of financial oversight of the city.
The controversy continues with Pike County Judge-Executive Ray Jones telling the Fiscal Court that until Taylor resigns, the county will not help the city with its problems any further.
Jones told the court that the state is now conducting a special examination which is not an audit.
This special examination may raise even more questions.
