Unemployment rates are still high in Eastern Kentucky with Martin County having the highest jobless rate at 10.8 %, Magoffin County’s rate is 9.6%, Pike County 8.8%, and Knott County 8.3%.
Overall Unemployment rates fell in 73 counties and rose in 35 counties around the state.
Woodford County recorded the lowest jobless rate at 4.5%.
