The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs (3-0) were able to hold off the Kentucky Wildcats (1-2) to win a close one (13-12) Saturday night in Lexington. UK scored the only first-half points on Georgia’s defense so far this season with a pair of field goals from senior kicker Alex Raynor, who accounted for all of UK’s points on the night, going 4-4, kicking field goals from 55 yards (a career high), 32 yards, 40 yards, and 51 yards, respectively. The lone touchdown in the game gave Georgia it’s lead in the fourth quarter, when Branson Robinson scored on a three-yard rush. UK junior quarterback Brock Vandagriff went 14-27 for 114 yards.
The Wildcats host the Ohio Bobcats (2-1) on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 12:45 at Kroger Field. The game will be on the SEC Network.
