Last winter, water customers in Fleming-Neon had to go without water for long periods of time due to the aging water system.
Now, a project to repair and replace waterlines in Fleming-Neon is underway.
Water District Supervisor Nathaniel Wilder told WYMT that a grant of more than $5 million will help them begin the second phase of the project.
Wilder said, “With the replacement, it does away with a lot of the old repairs we made. Over time, they tend to leak.”
