Congratulations going out to local students.
The Paintsville Elementary School academic team was recognized on March 9th at the regular school board meeting.
PES Principal Kristy Frazier said the team recently won the Region 29 Governor’s Cup competition, finishing with 55 points.
The 2nd place team finished way back, with 29 points.
Individually Lila Frye and Rose Turner took home first place wins.
Wallace Tran got a 2nd place finish in math.
Camren Amburgey, Eli Doderer, and Channing Frazier also did well in the competition, so congratulations to all the kids who competed.
