A child suffered a medical emergency Friday evening during the Casting With Kids event at Paintsville Lake.
According to Tournament Director Chris Ferguson, first responders and medical personnel quickly responded to the incident. The child was stabilized and airlifted Friday night to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital for further treatment.
Ferguson says the family expressed gratitude to emergency responders, hospital staff, and Johnson County emergency management teams for their rapid actions.
The family is asking for continued prayers as the child receives care.
