An investigation into a possible DUI has led to the arrest of 40-year-old Chad Nichols of Lovely on several vehicle violations and possible drug possession charges.
The Mountain Citizen reports that deputies were investigating a report of a motorcycle driving erratically.
The deputy made a stop at the entrance to Long Branch Road.
Nichols was observed slurring his speech, swaying back and forth, and struggling to maintain his balance.
A pat-down discovered a clear bag containing a crystal substance in Nichol’s right front pocket who reportedly said, “It’s meth.”
