The Magoffin County Sheriff’s Department is highlighting a successful drug-related arrest in the county.
Deputies Eugene Salyer and Blake Cantrell responded to a complaint about a man believed to be under the influence of narcotics. Upon arrival, the deputies observed the individual was visibly impaired and discovered approximately one gram of methamphetamine.
The man was taken into custody and transported to Big Sandy Regional Detention Center on charges of methamphetamine possession.
The sheriff’s department praised the deputies for their proactive work, saying it’s part of ongoing efforts to keep narcotics off the streets of Magoffin County.
