The unemployment rates in the state continue to rise in 120 counties from August 2023 and August 2024 according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics.
Magoffin County continues to lead the state with a 11.3% jobless rate followed by Martin County at 10.6%, Breathitt County at 9.7%, and Cumberland County recorded the lowest jobless rate in the commonwealth at 3.9%.
