Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly crash in Pike County.
Troopers from Post 9 in Pikeville say the single-vehicle collision happened around 3:47 p.m. Tuesday on Kentucky Route 197 in the Ashcamp community.
Investigators say Matthew Corbett was driving a white 2020 Ford Transit ambulance owned by Lifeguard Ambulance Service when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned.
A passenger, identified as Douglas Jones, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Accident Reconstructionist Trooper Terry Mounts.
Troopers were assisted at the scene by the Millard Volunteer Fire Department and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
