An inmate who escaped from a Hospital in Rowan Co, has been arrested.
The Morehead Police Department reported Thursday that Anthony Martinez escaped from the UK-St. Claire Hospital while in the custody of Rowan County Detention guards.
Investigators say Martinez had been wanted on federal charges.
Morehead Police say Martinez was hiding in an area near Triplett Creek behind the Newtowne Square shopping center.
Police reported that he tried to run, but was taken to custody after a brief struggle.
Investigators said Martinez was returned to the Rowan Co Jail.
