A Johnson County grand jury has indicted 26-year-old Casey Spence, of Inez, on charges of assault in an incident where he allegedly assaulted Johnson County Sheriff Scott Hazlette.
Spence also was indicted on several other charges.
The grand jury has also indicted Timothy L. Rivers on charges of criminal attempted murder, a class B felony.
Rivers was arrested on December 1st after 911 calls said that a man had been shot by his father in a domestic dispute over noise.
Rivers’ son had already left the residence and received care at Paintsville ARH.
A hearing in Rivers’ case is set for March 26 in Johnson County Circuit Court.
