According to The Hill, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear’s name is on the shortlist to become Kamala Harris’s running mate as she becomes the Democratic presidential nominee. Other names thrown into the mix include Arizona Senator Mark Kelly and North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper.
President Biden has pulled out of the race for another term as president on Sunday. The governor issued a statement after President Biden’s announcement saying about Biden, “His leadership provided infrastructure investments that are bringing clean drinking water and high-speed internet to parts of Kentucky that for far too long had been overlooked and underserved.”
