Former Paintsville Police Officer Indicted on 11 Felony and Misdemeanor Charges

Kentucky Attorney General Russell Coleman has announced that action from the Attorney General’s Special Prosecutions Unit resulted in the indictment of a former Paintsville police officer on 11 felony and misdemeanor charges.

A Johnson County Grand Jury indicted James Bradley, 37, of Paintsville, on two counts of assault third degree, five counts of wanton endangerment, and misdemeanor charges involving driving under the influence and reckless behavior. 

According to court documents, Bradley was operating an ATV under the influence when he assaulted two police officers and several others in May of this year. 

At the time, he was an officer with the Paintsville Police Department.
