Fleming-Neon, in Letcher County, will receive a portion of $14.4 million to improve its troubled water and wastewater infrastructure.
Governor Andy Beshear announced the award saying the funding is going to four communities in Eastern Kentucky that were impacted by the 2022 floods.
More than $5.7 million in funding will go to the city of Fleming-Neon to help replace six water storage tanks throughout the city’s distribution system.
