Elkhorn City has a new city attorney.
In a special-called meeting last week the city council announced Michael de Bourbon was hired as city attorney replacing Steven Bailey.
They have not said why Bailey was replaced, only that de Bourbon’s appointment to the job was immediate.
The Appalachian News Express reports de Bourbon is a partner with the Pruitt and de Bourbon law firm in Pikeville.
