Morehead State University has named Dr. Deirdra Robinson as the new director of its Prestonsburg campus.
A Paintsville native, Robinson has served as an assistant professor of social work and social work facilitator at MSU at Prestonsburg since 2010. She recently earned her doctorate in social work from the University of Kentucky.
In her new role, Robinson says she plans to expand the campus’s presence across Eastern Kentucky, strengthen student support services and work toward establishing a recovery resource center for students. She succeeds in leading the regional campus after more than a decade of teaching and mentoring future social workers.
