Road closed from 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., beginning Monday, June 16
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet advises motorists that contractor Nattco Inc. will begin work to repair an embankment failure on KY 825 at mile point 0.290 on Monday, June 16. The repair site is located on the section of KY 825 between KY 40 and US 460.
Due to the narrow width of the roadway at the work location, daily full closures will be necessary to complete the steel drilling portion of the repair. The road will be closed to all traffic between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., beginning Monday, June 16, and continuing for approximately one week. The roadway will reopen each evening after work concludes and remain open during non-work hours.
Once the steel drilling is complete, the contractor will continue with construction activities using single-lane closures with flaggers on site to alternate traffic safely through the work zone.
Motorists are encouraged to plan ahead, seek alternate routes during daytime work hours, and drive with caution when traveling through the area after hours.
KYTC District 12 appreciates the public’s patience as we work to restore and stabilize this section of roadway.
