AT&T workers continue to strike against the company; however, workers at the Pikeville picket line want to get back to work telling WYMT the strike is not about money or benefits. They claim to not even have contracts in place to negotiate those specifics. That is what they consider the most pressing concern.
The workers said union representatives have been through a revolving door of communication issues with the company for months, trying to get the contracts on the table and in negotiations since before the August 3 expiration of their previous contracts.
A statement from AT&T this week said the unfair labor strike “needlessly jeopardizes the wages and well-being of employees.”
