The Paintsville Tourism Commission has named a new executive director.
In a post on its Facebook page, Paintsville Tourism announced Brooke Lemonds will serve as the city’s new Tourism Director.
Officials say Lemonds brings a wealth of tourism experience and add they’re excited to have her represent Paintsville and Johnson County in all tourism activities.
The commission began its search for a new leader following the untimely passing of former director Jeremiah Parsons in January.
Twenty-two applications were submitted for the position.
Commissioners narrowed the field to five finalists, who were interviewed before a selection was made.
