One man is dead in an officer-involved shooting in Lawrence County.
The Kentucky State Police Post 14 was trying to locate a female who had active warrants for her arrest.
Troopers reported that they were looking for the female at a home in Martha, Kentucky, when they were confronted by 69-year-old Timothy Keeton, a man who lived in a different home, threatened to shoot the officers if they did not turn off their lights.
The man allegedly went back into the home and returned with a firearm.
After troopers told the man to put his gun down, he raised his gun in the direction of the troopers and was shot by them.
Troopers attempted life-saving measures which were not effective.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
