Kentucky Lawmakers Have Different Opinions on Possibility of Iran Attack

Kentucky lawmakers in Washington have different opinions as President Trump weighs a US attack on Iran.

Among those opposing a strike is Senator Rand Paul.

He says restraint is the best policy and that diplomacy is the best strategy for now.

Others, including republican congressman Andy Barr, tell the time for talk has passed and that it’s time to take out Iran’s nuclear program once and for all.

The debate is causing some strange political alignments.

One of those opposing a strike is conservative Kentucky Congressman Thomas Massie.

Joining him in opposition is California Democrat Ro Kahana who is one of the most liberal members of congress who rarely sides with Massie.
