SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (June 17, 2025) – A traffic change will be in place on the Mountain Parkway in Magoffin County for Wednesday, June 18, weather permitting. Striping work will begin midday and be completed late in the afternoon.
Beginning at Mile Point 67 to Mile Point 69, near the Cow Creek interchange, a traffic change will occur that will eliminate two median crossovers for eastbound and westbound traffic. This new traffic configuration will open to the finished alignment of the parkway.
Motorists traveling eastbound and westbound are encouraged to be alert, reduce speeds and use caution when driving through all active work zones.
Message boards, barricades, barrels and signage will be in place to alert motorists to the changes.
Work may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.
