Sunday marked the 13th anniversary of tornados that ripped through the area.
On March 2, 2012, an EF-3 tornado caused heavy damage to downtown West Liberty.
Another EF-3 tornado touched down along a path through Salyersville and Magoffin County, then into Johnson and Martin counties.
Overall, 22 Kentuckians lost their lives in the outbreak including two in Johnson County, two in Lawrence County, and six in Morgan County.
The state will have a state wide tornado drill this week on Wednesday, March 5th at 9:07 am.
