The following is a release from Floyd County Schools:
On October 6th, 2024, the Floyd County School District, in coordination with the Floyd County Sheriff’s Department, addressed an allegation that a threat had been made to Allen Elementary School involving a juvenile student. The Floyd County Sheriff’s Department, after a thorough investigation, determined that the threat was unfounded and no students, staff or stakeholders were in any imminent danger.
The Floyd County School District will continue to work closely with law enforcement. Any further information will be shared as it becomes available.
