Work to fix an embankment failure between mile points four and five on KY 1559 in Johnson County starts tomorrow morning and will continue through Wednesday. On Tuesday traffic will not be able to get through the work zone. On Wednesday there will be long delays; traffic will be directed by flaggers.
Highway District 12 Superintendent Barry Spriggs said that the drilling contractor will work from about 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. “We apologize for the temporary inconvenience,” Spriggs said. “We are working hard to get our roads, ditchlines, and culverts in the best shape possible before winter sets in.”
