Road construction begins Monday, July 10, along US-23 in Pike County. This section runs from the Floyd/Pike County line near Harold to the beginning of the six-lane highway at Coal Run.
The work, which will be done mostly at night, will take four to five weeks.
Work will run from 7 p.m. until 7 a.m. daily with shoulder work scheduled from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day.
The work zone speed will be 45 miles per hour with double fines for violating the speed limit.
